Weather Closings

We tend to follow suit with Big Walnut Local School District. If school is closed due to inclement weather (i.e. snow, ice, bitter cold, etc.), The Lex Center of Performing Arts will typically be closed on that day. This same policy applies when school is dismissed before regular dismissal times due to bad weather. Exceptions have included — fog delays, ice/sleet in the early morning - melted by evening travel hours, etc. If any of the above scenarios arise during or after regular school hours, or on a Saturday for reschedule, please call the studio before attempting the trip, or check on social media or website for closing information.

Make-up Class

Students are expected to attend all scheduled lessons, unless holiday, or school weather release, resulting in The Lex Center of Performing Arts studio closing. If a student is going to be absent or late, please call or email the studio ahead of time within a 24-hour time frame. No credit or prorate will be given for missed lessons. Students who miss their classes are entitled to a make-up class. Information on make-up classes will be provided, on need basis.

Sanitation & Limiting spread of sickness

We are only allowing one parent/guardian in the studio during drop-off or pick up. Waiting in lobby is permitted for parents of students who are younger than 5 years old only.

We are using medical grade cleaner for floors, sanitizing all door knobs and handles, ballet bars, instruments, and other spaces and places touched by hands. There are sanitizing stations throughout the studio for students to utilize during the times we are open. Between each class and lesson, each instructor is given 3-5 minutes to properly sanitize teaching stations, this may cause a delay with certain classes and lessons.

Please check temperature prior to arrival at The Lex Center; if student is showing symptoms of sickness (cough, fever, chills, congestion, diarrhea, shortness of breath, loss of taste, body aches) please keep them home and rest!

Due to the type of services we offer where heavy breathing and conditioning exercises are involved with lack of oxygen, face masks are OPTIONAL for students.

Tuition Scale for season classes & lessons
Our tuition scale has been set up according to the length of weekly lesson time and based on a 36-week season. For each week the payment is late, The Lex Center of Performing Arts will assess a $15.00 late charge to the student’s account.
