Our Mission

Established in 2011, we are a center of performing arts offering dance classes, music lessons and theater classes. Our goal is to provide quality performing arts training for students of all ages. We have a passion for the performing arts and have seen first hand how it can speak to multiple generations.

We believe the arts are a crucial part of a child’s education from Pre K-12, and years beyond. The arts can trigger students to simultaneously think creatively and strategically. Performing arts training also aids with ones assurance and self-confidence. They create friendships and bonds that last a lifetime.

We have a comfortable and professional learning environment with two music rooms and two dance studios, two bathrooms and a main lobby for students and families to wait for classes and lessons. Each dance and music studio is properly equipped to insure quality training. Students at The Lex Center also have opportunities to perform in our variety-style shows throughout the year, in addition to community outreaches.

What People Are Saying

The 20/21 season will be our 9th that we have chosen The Lex Center as the provider of performing arts education for our child. We love the Lex for many reasons. The instructors are passionate about the performing arts and encourage the students to explore their abilities and talents. G started in dance at the Lex, added theater to her repertoire, tried her hand at guitar, then moved on to voice. With every class and instructor she has been encouraged and seen growth. G has made many friends at The Lex. They say that "it takes a village" to raise a child and my husband and I feel blessed that Miss Alex and The Lex Center are a part of ours.

The Lex Center Of Performing Arts is a wonderfully hidden treasure in Sunbury, Ohio. It’s truly more than a performing arts school, it is a second home for students and their families. It is evident that the staff truly cares about each individual student and wants them to be the best version of themselves that they can be. Miss Alex and Miss Morgan are not only amazing teachers, but they also are positive role models for the students. Hannah has learned different levels of dance but just as importantly learned responsibility, determination, and leadership. Hannah has been taking various dance classes at the Lex Center Of Performing Arts for over 5 years now and we can’t imagine going anywhere else. I would highly recommend to anyone who is interested in a performing arts school.
